KG Basin and Mahanadi Basin




OIL began its exploration activities in Mahanadi Basin way back in 1978 with an Aeromagnetic survey of the onshore area and offshore areas by engaging NGRI.
OIL carried out its exploration activities in North East Coast Offshore and Mahanadi Onshore & Offshore from its Bay Exploration Project Bhubaneswar, Odisha, which was set up in 1979. Drilled a total of 16 wells in blocks awarded through nomination, Pre-NELP and NELP rounds.
In 2019, OIL was awarded five onshore OALP blocks with a commitment to acquire 2D & 3D seismic and drill 20 wells.

OIL begins its journey in Krishna Godavari BASIN through KG ONSHORE NELP-VI BLOCK in 2006.
Extends its Exploration & Development efforts in the region by acquiring a DSF-II round block for development in 2019. Committed to drill 6 wells and establish oil & gas production.

OIL has begun its hydrocarbon Exploration in Andaman Basin with 03 wells drilled during 1986. Now ventured into shallow to Deep offshore exploration through OALP-II round.
Committed towards Seismic API and drill 8 Nos. of wells
OIL forays into Kerala-Konkan Basin through OALP-III round. Committed to fulfil Seismic API and drill 2 Nos. of wells
